Invitation to tomorrow's ceremony, held on the second anniversary of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting (October 27, 2020).
Tomorrow, I will be holding a shamanic ritual down by the lake, most likely early in the morning. I thought of holding it live on Facebook or recording it for later sharing on Youtube, but the purpose of this ritual makes that feel intrusive to those for who the ritual was created. This is the second time I have created a shamanic ritual. The first was to honor my mother's 87th birthday while I was hospitalized this summer and it was good practice, but the creation of this ritual was only possible with the aid of the spirits I felt with me today.
This "service" is not so much for the earthly realm. Rather its a space for souls to gather at my lake to mourn and honor those murdered two years ago, October 27, 2018, at the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh. This was a time of deep shamanic experiences in my life and so I have felt this call and commitment to perform this ritual for the many souls I have had experiences with...who seem to be asking me for this ritual.
With the help of Shekhinah, with Her Presence in the planning, I have also felt called to share it with others. So I am doing so here in parts tonight and tomorrow. Feel free to use this "program" that I will be using with the spiritual world tomorrow. Perhaps in your own personal prayers. Use part of it or all of it. Play one of the videos in remembrance or recite the prayers. Whatever you feel called to do or perhaps you will just be curious to read and reflect on what I am doing with the spirit world to mark the second anniversary of this tragic event. Whatever feels most natural for you.
The spirits do not expect us all to come together uniformly and fit one mold nor does the Source of our existence. Our diversity is partially how we thrive. So is our ability to create unity within that diversity.
All I ask is you hold in your heart for a moment a desire for more peace in the world and less violence, but feel free to participate in this ritual also. Remember that 11 people died 2 years ago today worshiping innocently in their synagogue and 2020 has shown us intolerance is still a dangerous threat.
Here is the invitation as it has been sent to the Spirit World:
